Fiona started at Bargate Holroyd Insurance Brokers in 1990 as an Accounts Manager on a part time basis after meeting Sue and John Holroyd socially. In 1992, Fiona left to have a son - Alexander - and returned in 1997 when he started at primary school.
Duties include settling accounts to the insurance companies, making regular banking transactions, which is even easier now that a great deal of it is done online; general book keeping and computer skills. There is also quite a large responsibility handling client monies as the Insurance business is heavily regulated by the FCA with bi-annual audits.
Fiona has become quite adept in juggling home and working life in between competing with the horses and an active committee member of the Rutland Riding Club.
Her previous positions have included working for large engineering and architectural practices and spent 11 years as competitions secretary at the Burghley Horse Trials in Stamford. Fiona still takes "holiday" to act as a Dressage Writer at Burghley every year!
Keen to fight any signs of "old age" by attending regular fitness and yoga classes locally.
